Running Both the London and Boston Marathons

I found some stories about runners who'll be running both the London and Boston Marathons this weekend. They won't have much rest. After the London Marathon on Sunday, they'll have to fly across the Atlantic for the Boston Marathon on Monday.

The first that I found involves two guys who have a history of pushing each other on endurance tests. Earlier this year they did a climb of Mount Vinson Massif in Antarctica.

The second involves the famous ultramarathon runner Pam Reed. She and a friend will not only run both marathons, but will also run 26.2 miles to the Boston Marathon start line before the official start of the race. They had initially intended to run a marathon in Europe on Saturday. However, they decided on the double Boston marathon when no Saturday European marathon could be found.
