What's the coldest race you ran?

I remember a few cold ones here in Austin. As I was looking through the race calendars, I came across a half marathon in Canada that was run last Sunday (Feb 27, 2005). I had thought most races in the winter would be held some place in the southern USA. Well it looks like Peterborough, Ontario bucks that trend. 540 runners participated in the The Peterborough YMCA Half-Marathon.

Before I got to the stats, I wanted to find where this city was in Canada. I found this nice map which shows where the city is. At least it's not too far north. But it was cold (at least by my standards). The temperature around the time of the race was 23 degrees F. As can be seen in race photos, the runners were bundled up pretty well.

And here are the stats. I just did some basic stats for this race from data collected here. As in other races, men outnumber the women in all age groups except for those in their late twenties. The trend of women outnumbering men in their twenties continues.
