I've always been interested in running statistics. So I decided to create this site to share these. I'll be putting the official race data through custom made programs to find out all types if interesting things. Feel free to leave a comment about any interesting stats that you would like to see.

Ages of the 2004 Austin Marathon Runners
Marathons seem to attract a lot of folks in their 30's and 40's. Perhaps it's a sort of mid-life crisis kind of thing. I put the race data of the 2004 Austin Motorola Marathon through some programs and generated a graph showing how ages are distributed. As can be seen 30 and 40 year-olds are the largest group. There were 206 40-year-olds who ran which is more than any other age.
